Dr. Steven Choi, a former Toastmaster, was elected to the Irvine City Council for the first time on November 2, 2004, and then was re-elected to his second term on November 4, 2008. Previously, he was elected as a Trustee of the Irvine Unified School District in 1998 and was re-elected in 2002. Dr. Choi earned his Ph.D. in Library and Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh, his Master’s degree in Library Science from Louisiana State University, and his BA degree from Kyung Hee University in Seoul, Korea. |

California Senator Lou Correa was elected to the 34th Senate District in 2006, representing Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster. He is an active member of Anaheim Breakfast Toastmasters Club #3836. In 2004, Mr. Correa was elected to the Orange County Board of Supervisors, representing central Orange County. Prior to his election to the Board of Supervisors, he served as a State Assemblymember from 1998 to 2004 representing the 69th District. |
