Founder’s District will host the 2012 International Speech Contest winner, Ryan Avery, on November 5, 2013 at 6:30 PM at National University in Costa Mesa. Avery has been spreading his message, “How to Make It a Great Speech,” throughout the country. His goal is to inspire the future generation of leaders—such as college students—and to reach businesses via his two-hour workshop on public speaking. He is the youngest Toastmaster to win the International Speech Contest.
Avery has already attracted audiences from several districts all over North America. He will demonstrate his approach to deliver a powerful message to Our District by describing global strategies that apply to Toastmasters members. Some of them are:
- Create and sustain significant alliances with corporations and organizations
- Capture future generations with revised programs
- Recognize member and club achievement and quality at all levels
- Better attract and retain members
